WAYS High School Student Scholarship - Qualifications & Award Information



The qualifications for the WAYS High School Student Scholarship are as follows:

  • Student must be a senior in high school.
  • Student must have maintained between a 3.25 weighted GPA or higher throughout his or her final two years in high school.
  • The student will have played for WAYS, has coached for the WAYS organization, volunteered for WAYS (please include hours and what you volunteered for), and/or currently is (or has been) a referee for WAYS. This can be a small paragraph in addition to your common application essay.
  • Student should be able to produce, at our request, three references: one from a parent, one from a teacher, and one from a non-family member who knows you.
  • Student must plan to attend college or technical school the semester following his or her high school graduation.
  • In order to prove his/her commitment to going to school, all winners will need to produce their school’s acceptance letter.
  • Student must demonstrate a genuine need for these funds.
  • A transcript must be attached to your application and essay.

If you meet these qualifications, we urge you to fill out an application and submit it to your Guidance Department or directly to Mindi Davidson by the end of February annually.

WAYS annually selects one (1) boy and one (1) girl recipient to receive a $500 scholarship award.
